Scholarships for
Young community developer
After working with community leaders for more than 10 years, SCG has recognized that many communities face a shortage of new-generation leaders. Many young people leave their hometowns for work, causing existing leaders to seek successors to carry on the local way of life. This led to the creation of the “Ton Kla Community” project in 2014.
…The project aims to promote young community developers to apply their knowledge and skills to improve their communities, create jobs, reduce inequality, and foster sustainable self-reliance.
Scholarship Objectives
SCG Foundation believes that no creation is more sustainable than the development of people.
The foundation aspires to nurture a new generation to serve their local communities. The “Ton Kla Community” project was born to provide an opportunity for these young leaders to grow and thrive in their own hometowns. They are mentored by experienced senior developers, guiding them through both theoretical and practical aspects of community development. Additionally, SCG Foundation offers living stipends, funds for public benefit activities, and project management training to enhance the capabilities of the participants, helping them become key drivers for sustainable community development.
