Children’s Painting Competition “Thai Kids Fight COVID”

SCG Foundation, in collaboration with Foundation for Good Governance on Medicine, organized a drawing and painting competition with the theme “Thai Kids Fight COVID” for primary school students. The competition aims at encouraging children becoming conscious of self-care and protection at school amid COVID-19 pandemic and promoting good hygiene practices among children such as wearing a face mask, maintaining physical distancing, hand washing, etc. The competition is split into two categories:
– Primary 1-3
– Primary 4-6

Competition entries must be from primary school children
Category
– Primary 1-3
– Primary 4-6

Artwork Format
The required format is the paper size A3 (unframed). Any painting styles, techniques or paint types are allowed.

Registration Process
The registration is open from 20 July until 30 August 2020. The registration form can be downloaded at  www.scgfoundation.org

Selection and Judging Process
First round 20 artworks will be selected for the second round by the jury.
Second round  The selected artworks will be made available to the public via SCG Foundation Facebook page from 6 – 18 September 2020. The artwork with most Likes will be awarded the “People’s Choice” prize.
Final Round  The artworks will be decided by the jury, and the winners will be announced on 19 September 2020 on www.scgfoundation.org

Prizes
Category: Primary 1-3 with the prize worth 80,000 Baht
– A cash prize of 20,000 Baht and a certificate will be given to the grand prize winner, presented by Professor Emeritus Dr. Kasem Wattanachai, Chairman of Foundation for Good Governance on Medicine.
– A cash prize of 10,000 Baht and a certificate will be given to each of 3 distinguished prize winners.
– A cash prize of 5,000 Baht and a certificate will be given to each of 4 honorable mention award winners.
– A cash prize of 5,000 Baht and a certificate will be given to the People’s Choice winner.
– A cash prize of 5,000 Baht and a certificate will be given to the Doctor’s Choice winner.
– 10 award certificates will be given.

Category: Primary 4-6 with the prize worth 80,000 Baht

The schools of the grand prize winner, distinguished prize winners, honorable mention award winners, the People’s Choice winner, and the Doctor’s Choice winner will receive COVID-19 protection items as follows:
– 2 prizes for grand prize winners of both categories.
– 6 prizes for distinguished prize winners of both categories.
– 8 prizes for honorable mention winners of both categories.
– 4 prizes for the People’s Choice and the Doctor’s Choice winners of both category.
– 20 award certificates.

COVID-19 protection items
1. A total of 40 temperature assessment devices; each of 20 schools will be receive a set of two devices.
2. A set of 100 alcohol-based spray bottles will be given to 20 schools.
