“Happy and Healthy Citizen” Project by the Royal Medical Team

Assist cataract patients and provide surgical treatment for eye diseases, as well as dental services, to reduce waiting times and ensure comprehensive and equitable care. This promotes a sustainably improved quality of life

The project “Happy and Healthy Citizen” Project by the Royal Medical Team by the Crown Property Bureau in collaboration with volunteer doctors, including teams from the Faculty of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and the Faculty of Dentistry at Chulalongkorn University, as well as Banphaeo Hospital (Public Organization), aims to fulfill His Majesty the King’s vision of a secure and prosperous nation with citizens enjoying a high quality of life. This mission aligns with His Majesty’s inaugural declaration to “Continue, Preserve, and Build Upon” past royal legacies for the happiness and welfare of the people. To this end, mobile units provide health services across demographics, including eye exams, cataract surgery, and dental care.

…Eyesight is crucial, yet cataracts can cloud vision or even cause blindness. Since 2022, 14,451 patients have received treatment, though many more are still waiting for cataract surgery to restore their sight.
