SCG Foundation, a charitable organization focused on reducing inequality across various dimensions, believes that the cardiac children foundation of thailand will enable doctors to perform surgeries on children, increasing the survival chances for children born with congenital heart defects. Since 2016, SCG Foundation has supported the “Restore Heart, Save Lives” project, contributing a total of 8,000,000 THB.
The Cardiac Children Foundation was established in 1981 by a group of public-spirited individuals in collaboration with pediatric heart disease specialists. On March 15, 1984, it was taken under the royal patronage of Princess Galyani Vadhana, after which it was renamed the cardiac children foundation of Thailand under the Patronage of H.R.H. Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra.
…There remains a large number of children in need of heart surgery who are still waiting for assistance. Therefore, SCG Foundation has offering new opportunities and a new life for children with heart disease, increasing the chances of survival for those born with congenital heart defects, allowing them to grow up to become valuable contributors to society and the nation.
The cardiac children Foundation, in collaboration with pediatric heart specialists from hospitals nationwide, has undertaken the mission of performing heart surgeries on children outside regular working hours. This effort aims to reduce the waiting time for children requiring heart surgery. The “Restore Heart, Save Lives” project began in 2002, and to date, over 16,000 heart disease patients have undergone surgery through the program. These children often come from impoverished, rural families with limited access to healthcare.
