SCG Foundation Extends Care to Medical Workers, Donating 1.6 Million Baht Worth of COVID-19 Mobile Isolation Unit to Chulalongkorn Hospital and the Thai Red Cross Society, and Siriraj Hospital

SCG Foundation continues its relief effort, delivering COVID-19 Mobile Isolation Unit to two hospitals: Chulalongkorn Hospital and the Thai Red Cross Society, and Siriraj Hospital. The aid aims to equip healthcare workers who provide care for COVID-19 patients and high-risk individuals with an efficient pressure-controlled system and a HEPA air filter which ensure clean and safe air. The COVID-19 Mobile Isolation Unit offers enhanced convenience along with easy installation and high mobility. The structure is mainly composed of high-performance plastic materials.

The innovation series of COVID-19 Mobile Isolation Unit consists of 5 innovations: Negative Pressure Isolation Room, which isdesigned to fit emergency rooms, ICUs, or even patient rooms, allowing doctors and nurses immediately treat patients with severe symptoms without the need to move the patient or other life support equipment; Negative/Positive Pressure Isolation Chamber, which allows doctors and nurses to conduct swabs without direct contact with patients; Patient Isolation Capsule, which can prevent the spread of the virus during patient transportation; Small Isolation Capsule for CT scan which can prevent the spread of the virus during patient transportation to the CT scan; and DENT Guard which helps reduce aerosol exposure to the virus during dental work.

At the handover ceremony of innovations, Ms. Suvimol Chivaluk, Director and Manager of SCG Foundation, and  Dr. Suracha Udomsak, Vice President and CTO – Innovation and Technology of Chemical Business, together presented donations on behalf of the Foundation to two hospitals: Chulalongkorn Hospital and the Thai Red Cross Society, officially received by Prof. Dr. Suttipong Wacharasindhu, Director of Chulalongkorn Hospital and the Thai Red Cross SocietyAsst. Prof. Visit Vamvanit, Director of Siriraj Hospital, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yongyut Sirivatanauksorn, Vice Director of Siriraj Hospital.
