SCG Foundation donated a second batch of Modular Bathroom worth 640,000 Baht to healthcare workers and officials working at Sakhon People Care Center 8 and Wattana Factory 2 at Phanthai Norasing subdistrict, Mueang district, Samut Sakhon province. Samut Sakhon Deputy Governor Teerapat Kutchamath received the handout.
The video clip is available in two languages: Thai and Burmese. The video shows simple ways to practice self-care, such as wearing a face mask, washing hands, and keeping physical distance. The project collaborates with Migrant Health Volunteers (MHVs) and Village Health Volunteers (VHVs), who appear in the video to demonstrate self-care tips to provide care to everyone.
SCG Foundation has donated a series of COVID-19 innovations to Samut Sakhon Hospital to lower infection risks among medical professionals. The donations included 1) Positive Pressure Isolation Chamber, 2) Patient Isolation Capsule, 3) Small Patient Isolation Capsule for CT scan, 4) 200 PPEs, 5) 500 N95 masks, 6) 500 themoscan devices, 7) 3,000 pairs of medical gloves, and 8) 2,000 pieces of kid’s cloth face masks.
Although Thailand’s COVID-19 overall situation continues to improve, to keep Thai people stay on guard and remain mindful to prevent the second wave of infections, Thai Roong Ruang Sugar Group, Thailand’s fully integrated sugar business, has joined hands with SCG Foundation and SCG Express, producing and delivering 200,000 bottles of 60 ml alcohol-based sprays to various groups at increased risk for infections including officials, underprivileged people, people with disabilities, labor groups and journalists.

Thai PBS will give the handout to the Immigration Bureau and Ministry of Labour for further distribution to officials facing a higher risk of infection and cross-border workers across the country.
Mr. Chaovalit Ekabut, Executive Director of SCG Foundation, provided item kits (VHVs Kits) on the foundation’s behalf to Dr. Sukhum Karnchanapimai, Permanent Secretary of Public Health to support the work of village health volunteers (VHVs) in high-risk areas and promote public recognition of these heroes. SCG Foundation presented “VHVs Kits,” a set of items that comes in a bag, to support the COVID-19 prevention and surveillance work of village health volunteers, the backbone of efforts fighting COVID-19 who provide education, follow-up high-risk individuals and keep community members safe.

SCG Foundation has deployed “Pantry of Sharing” cabinets to lift the community’s spirits. The “Pantry of Sharing” initiative is a concept to bridge the connection between “givers” who can provide support and “receivers” who are struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.
