SCG Foundation Scholarship Grantees Joins the 1st Youth Symposium on SDGs

Anantaya “Fahsai” Chinnawong and Yothin “James” Boonyong, grantees of SCG’s Foundation Sharing the Dream program, attended “The 1st Youth Symposium on SDGs,” a platform for collaboration of youth to shape the world’s future of their own. The activity was organized by the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council at M Tower Building, Bangchak Head Office. 

SCG Foundation scholarship grantees have become part of the movement, making a small step toward a great accomplishment.

SCG Foundation Visits “Kubota Farm” to Learn Smart Agriculture

SCG Foundation Director and Manager Suvimol Chivaluk and Young Developer Program members who work in agricultural development projects visited Kubota Farm in Chonburi to learn smart farming models utilizing new theory solutions and end-to-end farming innovation. The group has embraced the farming philosophy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great as a farming model and will integrate the knowledge gained during the visit to their farms as a way to achieve sustainable farming.

SCG Foundation Makes Young Artists’ Dreams Come True and Shine Through Young Thai Artist Award Competition

Mr. Chaovalit Ekabut, Executive Director of SCG Foundation, presided over the award ceremony and the launch of the exhibition of Young Thai Artist Award 2020 for a trophy bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The art competition aims to provide a space for aspiring young talents to artistically create their works in six categories: two-dimensional art, three-dimensional art, photography, film, literature, and music composition. Ms. Suvimol Chivaluk, Director and Manager of SCG Foundation, along with the judging panel, congratulated winners of six categories at Bangkok Art & Culture Centre (BACC)

SCG Foundation Teams up with Government & Businesses to Support Excellent in Construction Work under Living Solution Expert Project

SCG Foundation, a public charity organization continuously promoting vocational education, has awarded scholarships worth 1.5 million Baht to students with High Vocational Certificate level (High Voc. Cert.) who have joined Excellent Center in the construction work area under the Living Solution Expert project. The project is a collaboration of the Office of the Vocational Education Commission, the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority, Nawaplastic Industries Company Limited, SCG Foundation, Land and Houses Public Company Limited, SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited as well asSCG Distribution Company Limited. The collaboration aims to prepare vocational students to become professionals that meet the country’s demand and provide in-demand skills to help them meet today’s labor market, generate income and secure stable jobs in the future.

Presented in Dual Vocational Training (DVT), the program offers cutting-edge expertise provided by leading construction firms that help craft a curriculum and provide on-site work experience and career support. The project offers programs in two areas: 1) plumbing and sanitary ware installation and maintenance work, and 2) window and door installation and maintenance work. SCG Foundation to Run Live Event of Young Thai Artist Award 2020 on Facebook Live and Zoom Webinar

SCG Foundation, a public charity focusing on empowering people and promoting youth’s ability, is hosting the Young Thai Artist Award 2020 for a trophy bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Recognized as one of the largest national youth art competitions, the Young Thai Artist Award aims to offer a wide-open space for aspiring young talents to artistically create artworks where youngsters can unleash their artistic powers for social improvement in six categories: two-dimensional art, three-dimensional art, photography, film, literature, and music composition. This art competition is renowned for having strict and generally recognized methods of selection with the top-tier selection committee and the judging panel comprising national artists, prominent artists, and art experts.

In 2020, SCG Foundation would like to invite you to join a live-streaming session of the winner announcement, award presentation, and exhibition opening on Saturday, November 14, 2020, from 2 pm onwards. This year, the event will be held in a virtual format or a new normal art competition to avoid a public gathering. SCG Foundation Offers Nursing Assistant Program Scholarships to Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, to Address Unmet Professional Needs.

SCG Foundation, led by Ms. Suvimol Chivaluk, Director and Manager, has awarded 19 nursing assistant program scholarships worth 475,000 Baht to Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. Assistant Professor Rattapon Thuangtong, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, received the scholarships on the faculty’s behalf.

The scholarship offers a short-term program on a non-binding basis. The scholarship grantees can immediately proceed with the work as such a professional is in high demand in Thailand. 

Furthermore, from the discussion with the Foundation, the scholarship grantees have demonstrated strong intention and determination to pursue a career in nursing as a means to help others and a stable job that can support themselves and families.
